What is Elementary Science Olympiad?
Elementary Science Olympiad is a team event that combines theory and hands-on projects. It can be a competition among local schools or a fun-filled evening with no scoring.
What is the goal of Science Olympiad?
Science Olympiad seeks to foster team building and communication through the various activities, as team members meet and start to work with new people. Science Olympiad focuses both on hands on work (for the build events), and learning about interesting subjects, such as physics and chemistry (for the theory events). Teamwork is an incredibly valuable life lesson, and is a required skill in most scientific careers today. But most importantly, Science Olympiad is a great way to meet new, like minded people, and have a great time.

All students to participate in atleast 1 theory and 1 build event. This adheres to the spirit of the competition. We want all kids to get an experience doing a build event as well as participating in a theory event. While we don't police it, we want the coaches to ensure that all kids in the team get the assignment adhering to this requirement.
